On July 1, Vietcombank, Agribank , BIDV, and Vietinbank kept the selling price of SJC gold bars unchanged at 76.98 million VND/tael.

Accordingly, customers continue to register to buy gold online to confirm the price, the time to go to the bank to pay and receive gold. Depending on the regulations of each bank, within 1 week or 1 month, an individual can buy 1 amount of SJC gold bars.

Speaking to reporters from the Lao Dong newspaper on the morning of July 1, gold-selling banks said that people’s purchasing power for SJC gold bars has shown signs of decreasing. Some customers had successfully registered to buy gold but then did not come to make the transaction.

A senior leader of Agribank said that since the "beginning of the season" (starting selling gold bars through banks on June 3), the bank has sold nearly 20,000 taels of gold.

Recently, when switching to online gold purchase registration, no longer queuing to get a number like before, the number of customers registering to buy gold has decreased sharply. Notably, every day there are 20-30 people who have successfully registered to buy gold but do not come to the transaction. The bank contacted the phone to close the transaction but no one picked up the phone.

Meanwhile, a representative of VietinBank said that every day the State Bank sells a certain amount of gold to the bank. Accordingly, VietinBank sells all of it during the day and has sold about 16,000 taels so far.

Similarly, BIDV also sold about 15,000 taels of SJC gold bars to the market... At Vietcombank's gold selling points in Ho Chi Minh City alone, there are about more than 100 customers buying SJC gold bars every day.

According to the State Bank, since June 3 - the time commercial banks and SJC Company sold SJC gold bars, up to now, these units have sold hundreds of thousands of taels of gold.

In the coming time, the State Bank will continue to sell gold to commercial banks and SJC Company so that these units can sell online to the market, meeting people's needs.
