For Dong Nai , the US is also the largest export market, accounting for nearly 33% of the province's total export turnover. In the first quarter of 2025, Dong Nai exported more than 1.93 billion USD to the US.

Dong Nai exports a lot of products to the US such as textiles, footwear, wood products, computers, electronic components, machinery equipment, textile fibers, machinery equipment and spare parts, iron and steel products... In the future, when export tax on goods to the US increases, it will directly affect many businesses in the province. Especially businesses that have signed orders with US partners until the end of the second, third and fourth quarters of 2025.

Tax costs will be included in the product cost and the product cost will be pushed up. With the contracts Dong Nai businesses have signed with American partners, if they cannot negotiate an increase in selling price, the possibility of loss will be very high.

According to the list of reciprocal tariffs between the US and other countries, Vietnam is subject to the third highest tariff. Much higher than the tariffs of other countries. Specifically, Chinese goods exported to the US are subject to a 34% tariff, India 26%, South Korea 25%, Japan 24%, Thailand 36%, EU 20%...
