According to Giao Thong Newspaper reporters, on the third day of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, due to the hot weather, day trips and sightseeing activities in Ba Ria - Vung Tau were also limited. Beach swimming was mainly bustling before 7am and after 5pm when the weather cooled down again.

The beaches of Vung Tau, Long Hai, Xuyen Moc… are packed with tourists on the shore and under the sea in the evening. During the day, tourists gather at cafes, have breakfast, then lunch and hide from the sun in hotels.

On the third day of the holiday, visitors to Ba Ria - Vung Tau were crowded, but due to the heat, they only gathered to swim after 5pm.

However, many tourists , who only go for the day (leave in the morning and return in the afternoon), still flock to the beach at noon even though the weather is over 40 degrees. Many others spread out tarps to sleep in the shade in the park, waiting for the sun to cool down before going swimming.

In the hot noon, a few tourists who were on day trips still went swimming.

The number of guests is high, many hotels have sold out their rooms in the past 3 days, some other hotels were also sold out on April 30. According to many hotels, this year's holiday is long so guests often stay for 2-3 days to have fun and visit. To attract guests, many hotels continue to reduce room rates by 10-20% through booking.com, Agoda, Chudu24h...

Most visitors to Ba Ria - Vung Tau mainly travel by motorbike or private car, a few by bus or tour. Many visitors share that they choose Ba Ria - Vung Tau because it is close, only takes 1-2 hours to travel, and the cost of entertainment and food is also suitable for their budget.

Regarding traffic, due to the large number of visitors to Ba Ria - Vung Tau, in recent days, National Highway 51 has often been congested and vehicles move slowly.

Many families and groups of young people go swimming in Vung Tau beach.

According to tourists, this year is hot so visitors are concentrated in the morning and evening. The rest of the time is spent eating, playing, and visiting areas with lots of trees and shade such as the Lighthouse, May Lake, etc.

Many people also shared that although the room prices this year have increased, they have only increased slightly, and the prices are popular, so they are suitable for many customer segments. Especially groups of young people and families traveling for vacation can save on room costs due to the reasonable prices.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, a tourist from Dong Nai, said that this holiday lasts for 5 days, so her family chose to go to Vung Tau for two days, on the 28th and 29th, to let the children swim and have fun. "I find the prices for food, entertainment, and hotels this year quite reasonable. The places I eat and drink have fixed prices, so I don't have to worry about being ripped off," Ms. Phuong said.

Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Tourism, said that the total number of visitors for tourism, entertainment, and accommodation at hotels, tourist areas, and beaches in the province on April 29 was about 164,849. Of which, there were about 52,249 overnight guests and 9,917 international guests. Total tourism revenue for the day is estimated at 182,551 billion VND and room occupancy rate for the day reached 85-95% in the whole province.
