After traveling about 50 km, the Korean female tourist had an accident and fell into a ditch. Tuyen Quang people immediately helped her to get her motorbike back up and fix the problem.

Jeon Heesu (32 years old, from Korea) recently traveled to Vietnam, visiting many famous destinations such as Hanoi, Lao Cai, Ha Giang (now Tuyen Quang).

Among them, Ha Giang is the place she wishes to set foot to experience the "Ha Giang loop" - a route voted by SCMP newspaper and included in the "Top 5 best cycling routes in Asia in 2024".

The route is about 350 km long, starting from Quan Ba, passing through Yen Minh, up to Dong Van, to Meo Vac and then back to the starting point. Despite having many high passes, deep ravines and sharp turns, this journey still attracts a large number of travel enthusiasts.

Heesu rented a motorbike and drove it himself to conquer some roads in Ha Giang.

Facing the attraction of this destination, Heesu went to a travel agency on Nguyen Trai Street, Ha Giang 1 Ward (old Ha Giang City) to rent a car. She planned to experience here for 3 days and 2 nights and drive a motorbike to explore the famous "golden route".

However, on the very first day, about 50 km from the center, Heesu suddenly had an accident. Both she and her vehicle fell into a ditch by the roadside, her clothes and hair were covered in dirt, as if crushed vegetables had been thrown on them.

“I don’t know what happened. It felt like the truck just passed by and something fell and hit me. Or maybe something fell from the sky?” - Heesu was confused.

Korean guest confused when encountering unexpected incident

In the confusion, she was fortunately discovered by some locals who immediately came to ask about the situation and provide support.

Two men pulled the motorbike up to the side of the road, a woman nearby invited Heesu to her house, helped her wash her face, wash her hair and change into clean clothes. They also carefully asked her if she had any injuries or health problems.

Local people quickly supported and helped the young girl handle the incident.

The concern of strangers touched Heesu. Despite the language barrier, she still felt the kindness and warmth of the local people. A local young man even took her to his restaurant and cooked her a bowl of hot and spicy noodles. The Korean guest was very touched and praised the bowl of noodles that this young man cooked as “the best dish she has ever eaten in Vietnam”.

When the owner said that the lunch would be free, Heesu could not hide her surprise and gratitude. However, she insisted on paying for the meal, repeatedly praising the delicious taste of the noodles and thanking the young man.

After the incident, although the car was not seriously damaged and he only had minor injuries, Heesu decided to return to the place where he rented the car, temporarily stopping his exploration plan.

She expressed regret for the unfinished trip but felt compensated by receiving care and love from everyone around her.

The car rental company also assisted the customer with vehicle repairs, arranged overnight accommodations, and invited her to a cozy evening party.

Sharing with VietNamNet reporter, representative of the travel agency where Heesu rented the car confirmed that the female tourist had an accident while traveling to Ha Giang at the end of July.

Heesu had booked a motorbike rental for 3 days, but due to an unexpected incident on the first day, she had to turn back, shelving her plan to explore the famous stone plateau and loop.

“Heesu was driving alone and unfortunately had an accident on the way. When she returned to us, she had a minor scratch on her leg and the mirror and fairing of the car were damaged.

At that time, the guest was quite worried and wanted to take a bus back to Hanoi immediately. However, we reassured her, provided her with a place to stay overnight and invited her to join the evening party with the whole group" - the representative informed.

After the incident, on his personal YouTube channel with more than 67,000 followers, Heesu also revealed that his health was stable and he felt lucky to not have suffered any serious injuries.

The Korean female tourist thanked the locals who supported her in that unfortunate situation and expressed her wish to have the opportunity to return to Ha Giang to visit and conquer the famous loop road.
