Elderly people in Tung Ba commune receive free medical examination and medicine

On the morning of September 21, Tuyen Quang Traditional Medicine Hospital coordinated with Ha Giang Traditional Medicine Hospital, Tuyen Quang province to organize a program to examine and give free medicine to the elderly in Tung Ba commune, towards the 35th anniversary of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1, 1990 - October 1, 2025).

Elderly people in Tung Ba commune received basic health check-ups.

The program has the participation of nearly 20 doctors and nurses who perform basic health check-ups such as: measuring blood pressure, ultrasound, blood sugar and blood lipid tests... At the same time, they advise on nutrition, guide the prevention and early detection of chronic diseases related to the elderly, and exercise appropriate to their health condition. After the examination, the elderly are given free medicine and instructions on how to use it safely and effectively.

At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee examined 335 elderly people. This practical activity contributes to raising awareness of primary health care for the elderly in mountainous areas, with little access to quality health services. At the same time, doing a good job of primary health check-ups for the elderly, early detection of common diseases.

The delegation gave gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances and policy families.

On this occasion, Tuyen Quang Traditional Medicine Hospital and Ha Giang Traditional Medicine Hospital visited and presented 10 gifts worth 8 million VND to the elderly, poor households, and policy families in Tung Ba commune.
