Unlike many other ripe rice areas in the Northwest, the golden season of Y Ty has its own unique beauty. At an altitude of about 2,000m above sea level, the terraced fields wind around the mountainside, layer upon layer, creating a majestic natural picture.

Not crowded or noisy, Y Ty attracts tourists thanks to its close, rustic beauty. Y Ty is most beautiful from August to October every year, especially in the first two weeks of September.
This is the time when the terraced fields and golden ripe rice stretch along the mountain slopes, creating beautiful scenery and ideal conditions for tourists and photographers to choose their own frames.

Similar to tourism in Sa Pa or other areas in the Northwest, the cuisine here is familiar dishes from sturgeon, salmon, black chicken, pork,... marinated with typical highland spices, bringing a unique and strange flavor.
In Y Ty, there are many famous check-in spots, such as: Choan Then Park (1km from the commune center); Y Ty market; The Pa terraced fields... Mountain climbing enthusiasts can choose to conquer Lao Than peak, known as the roof of Y Ty.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, Chairman of Y Ty Commune People's Committee, the number of visitors to Y Ty is not much but is increasing steadily every year.
The locality’s strength is developing green tourism and experiential tourism associated with agricultural products and the cultural identity of the people. Lao Cai’s orientation is to build Y Ty into a sustainable destination, without destroying the environmental landscape.
