Promote, advertise and develop tourism in the Northwest and Ho Chi Minh City

On September 20, within the framework of activities at the Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival 2025, the Northwest provinces including Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien and Ho Chi Minh City jointly organized a conference to promote, advertise and develop Northwest - Ho Chi Minh City tourism, proposing solutions to develop sustainable tourism, focusing on regional linkage solutions to create unique products with characteristics of the Northwest region.

At the conference, representatives of provinces and tourism and travel businesses proposed many solutions to remove bottlenecks in linking and developing tourism between provinces in the Northwest region and linking and developing tourism between the Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

First of all, the provinces in the Northwest region need to prioritize the development of new tourism products such as tours about the history of the Dien Bien Phu campaign; community tours; experiencing the golden season of the Northwest provinces; creating new community destinations with the unique identities of each ethnic group and each locality...; Strengthening the promotion and advertising of tourism in localities; Strengthening promotion based on digital platforms to introduce new destinations to tourists faster, more fully and more diversely...

Along with that, representatives of units and localities also shared new ways of doing things, suitable to local practices, which have achieved encouraging results such as Phu Tho and Thai Nguyen provinces have built a School Tourism tour; Phu Tho Tourism Association coordinated with Son La to build a Phu Tho - Moc Chau tour; cooperated with Ha Nam province to build a Phu Tho - Ha Nam tour; developed an inter-provincial tour product "One route, 5 destinations".

Speaking at the conference, representatives of Phu Tho tourism introduced the tourism development potential, destinations of Phu Tho - the sacred ancestral land, where the sacred spirit of mountains and rivers converges, the origin of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people, the unique tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the ancestral land and cultural tours to the source such as: Hung Temple night tour; traditional cultural ritual experience tour; discovery tour, interesting and attractive community ecotourism experience; introduced community cultural tourism destinations in the province such as: Tam Dao National Tourist Area, Xuan Son National Park, Hung Lo Ancient Village, Hoa Binh Lake Tourist Area, Ban Lac... proposed a number of solutions to promote the role of the Tourism Association of provinces and cities in implementing cooperation and linkage activities to develop tourism in the expanded Northwest region.

At the 2025 Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival, Phu Tho province organized a booth to display, introduce and promote tourism products, typical tours, typical local destinations, especially introducing the culture and people of the Ancestral Land through a system of brochures, standees, and videos, promoting cultural tours to the source and introducing and promoting some traditional craft village products, rural agricultural tourism products, OCOP products of local products and unique cuisine to serve tourists.
