Thai star ready to face Xuan Son in AFF Cup final

(Dan Tri) - Thailand's midfielder Supachok Sarachat declared that Thai players are no strangers to Nguyen Xuan Son. The Golden Temple country team is ready to welcome the Vietnamese team in the final.

Supachok Sarachat is also the player expected to replace the conductor role of "Thai Messi" Chanathip Songkrasin, in the Golden Temple country team.

After winning the right to play in the final match with the Vietnamese team, Supachok Sarachat said: "The Vietnamese team is a very strong team, they won the right to enter the final of the AFF Cup 2024 strongly. However, we are confident in our ability."

"I haven't watched the Vietnamese team at this year's tournament, but I know about Nguyen Xuan Son. He is a good striker on the Vietnamese team that the Thai players need to be careful of," Supachok Sarachat added.

The Thai team's midfielder hopes that the Golden Temple team will play well against the Vietnamese team in the final, just like how they just defeated the Philippines in the semi-finals.

Supachok Sarachat shared: "The match against the Philippines was really exciting. We tried our best. I am happy that we are in the final match, the championship match."

The first leg final between Vietnam and Thailand will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025, at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ). The second leg final will take place at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok (Thailand) at 8:00 p.m. on January 5, 2025.
