The case of a teacher strangling his colleague: Department of Education and Training takes action

(Dan Tri) - Regarding the male teacher's inappropriate behavior, strangling his colleague when reminded to park properly, the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training directed the school to handle the violator according to regulations.

On October 9, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Principal of Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Ea O commune, Dak Lak province), said that the unit had received a directive from the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training (DET) regarding the review and handling of violations by teachers with inappropriate behavior towards colleagues.

Mr. D.T. (46 years old), a math teacher, was identified as the person who attacked Mr. NTS, the school's Youth Union Secretary and national defense education teacher.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak , based on regulations for civil servants not holding management positions, the head of the public service unit managing civil servants shall handle discipline and decide on the form of discipline.

In case of forced dismissal, the head of the public service unit shall report to the competent recruitment authority before making a decision (except in cases where the public service unit has the authority to recruit or is delegated the authority to recruit).

Dak Lak Department of Education and Training requested the leaders of Vo Nguyen Giap High School to seriously implement and ensure that the handling takes place in accordance with the correct order, procedures and regulations of the law, and report the handling results to the Department for monitoring and direction.

According to Mr. Dung, the school will establish a Disciplinary Council to meet and handle Mr. T. and the school will report to the Department of Education and Training before taking the final disciplinary action.

"After the incident in which Mr. T. attacked Mr. S., Mr. T. has not come to school to teach for nearly a week and the school had to assign another teacher to teach in his place. We will handle the incident according to regulations," said the Principal of Vo Nguyen Giap High School.

As Dan Tri reported, at around 7:10 a.m. on October 3, Mr. S. was on duty checking student discipline as assigned by the school's board of directors.

Teacher S. discovered Mr. T. parked his motorbike in the middle of the school gate and reminded him to park his vehicle properly. At that time, Mr. T. cursed, threatened and strangled teacher S. twice in front of the school security guards and students.

The entire incident was recorded by the school's security cameras.

The incident left Mr. S. with a neck injury, affecting his teaching mentality and shocking the students who witnessed it.

Mr. T. was disciplined 5 times during his career for beating, cursing, insulting students and challenging parents.
