Vietnamese fans have the chance to meet pickleball legend Ben Johns in person

Vietnamese fans will have the opportunity to meet and interact directly with Ben Johns, when the American pickleball legend comes to Da Nang to participate in the PPA Tour Asia MB Vietnam Cup 2025.

After the resounding success of the Vietnam Open (held in early September in Ho Chi Minh City), with impressive performances from home players such as Ly Hoang Nam, Phuc Huynh... Vietnam continues to become a fertile land for the development of pickleball in general and the PPA Tour Asia tournament system in particular.

At the tournament taking place at Tien Son Sports Palace (Da Nang) from September 30 to October 4, a series of international stars will attend the tournament, such as Ben Johns, Alix Truong, Tyson McGuffin, Tyra Hurricane Black, Christian Alshon, Zane Navratil, Zoey Chao Yi Wang, Kaitlyn Christian...

In particular, the appearance of Ben Johns will bring excitement to the Vietnamese pickleball fan community.

Ben Johns is considered a living legend of pickleball, with 123 PPA Tour titles, 21 Triple Crown titles (the most in men's history), a streak of 108 consecutive singles wins from 2019 to 2021 and 16 consecutive mixed doubles titles with Anna Leigh Waters. He has also held the world No. 1 ranking in all three categories of singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles for many years since 2020.

As pickleball continues to grow in Vietnam, Ben Johns has a large following and was welcomed to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in March.

"I see that Vietnamese people are very passionate about pickleball. This sport has only been developed in Vietnam for about a year, but I just went to a pickleball court in Ho Chi Minh City that is much more beautiful than courts in the US. That is the foundation to show that Vietnam is on the right track," Ben Johns shared.

At the PPA Tour Asia MB Vietnam Cup 2025 event, sponsor MB will bring exclusive priority experiences to customers such as opportunities to interact, take photos, train and receive autographs from top international stars of PPA Tour at the MB Exclusive Meet & Greet event, taking place on October 1 at Tien Son Sports Palace (Da Nang).

The Vietnam Cup 2025 tournament will bring together Vietnam's top pickleball players, who have achieved outstanding results in the PPA Tour Asia 2025 tournament system, such as Trinh Linh Giang (champion of PPA Tour Asia - Malaysia Open 2025), Ly Hoang Nam (runner-up of PPA Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Open 2025), Phuc Huynh (champion of PPA Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Open 2025).

Thus, Linh Giang, Phuc Huynh... will have the opportunity to compete directly with the world's top athletes, to verify the current level of pickleball compared to the world.
