On the model car simulating the image of a dragon boat, Ms. Hang Nga Vu Thuy Linh, Yen Son commune, stood out with her pure white dress, long black hair and a gentle smile always on her lips. She gently waved to everyone, in response to countless admiring eyes and endlessly raised phones. To have that shining moment, Linh and many other young people prepared everything themselves, from costumes to makeup, with costs ranging from 500,000 to 1 million VND.
Sharing with us, Thuy Linh could not hide her happiness: "Every time I wear this costume and stand on the model car, I feel extremely proud. Seeing the joy of the children, the admiration of tourists, all fatigue disappears. I just want to contribute a small part to make the image of my homeland more beautiful in the eyes of friends from all over the world."
Not only Hang, other fairy tale characters are also vividly recreated. In the image of the lovely and mischievous Ngoc Tho, Hoang Thi Vui, Hung Duc commune, created an interesting highlight. Vui confided: "At first, I was a bit shy, but when I received enthusiastic cheers from everyone, I felt much more confident. Many tourists even asked to take photos with me, I was very happy. Contribute youth to create beautiful images
Every evening, when the parade activities end and the crowd thins out, returning the quiet space to the streets around 10pm, a special volunteer team begins its work. They are the members and youth of the Minh Xuan Ward Youth Union.
With a sense of responsibility, volunteers quickly deployed the task of collecting garbage and cleaning the streets after a night of the festival. The image of young people in green volunteer shirts diligently cleaning, picking up trash, and sorting trash left a deep impression. Comrade Vu Thuy Linh, Secretary of the Minh Xuan Ward Youth Union, said: "Through this activity, we hope to contribute to building the image of Tuyen Quang as a civilized and friendly place in the eyes of tourists from all over the world."
Student Nguyen Vu Quynh Luong, a member of the Youth Union of Y La High School, expressed: "I feel very happy to contribute a small part of my efforts to preserve the environment, helping to make my hometown's festival more clean, beautiful and meaningful."
The practical actions of the youth union members have created a positive ripple effect in the community. Mr. Tran Long Dan, a business owner in Minh Xuan ward, shared: "Witnessing the enthusiasm of the young people, we are also more aware of proactively cleaning up our business area, joining hands to protect the common landscape."
During the festival, at intersections and traffic junctions, the Youth Union and Youth Police of the province were always on duty to carry out their duties. Amidst the high density of people and vehicles, the presence of young soldiers in traffic control and regulation has made an important contribution to ensuring that the festival activities take place safely and smoothly.
Despite having to work continuously for many hours, the soldiers still maintained their spirit and professional working attitude. Senior Lieutenant Le Hoang, a member of the Traffic Police Department, said: "Ensuring traffic order and safety is one of the key tasks for the Thanh Tuyen Festival to take place successfully. Personally, I and my teammates are always ready to devote our youth to successfully completing the assigned tasks."
When tourists leave Tuyen Quang after the festival season, what remains in them is probably not only the memory of giant lantern models, but also a deep impression of the people here. It is the image of a land rich in cultural identity and above all, the friendliness, civilization and enthusiasm of the young generation. Through concrete actions, from smiling to greeting guests to keeping the streets clean and beautiful, young people have become "ambassadors" spreading the beauty and hospitality of their homeland.
