The Vietnamese stock market on August 30th "shaken" strongly due to profit-taking pressure from investors before the upcoming long holiday, but the VN-Index still maintained its "form" when it continued to increase strongly. Most industry groups increased points with the number of stocks increasing on the market being twice the number of stocks decreasing.

The group of securities stocks attracted a large cash flow from investors, so a series of stocks increased strongly such as: VND increased by 4.91%, SSI increased by 3.55%, HCM increased by 6.86%, VIX increased by 3.73%, VCI 3.53%...

Banking stocks also leaned towards green with TPB increasing by 2.89%, CTG increasing by 2.72%, STB increasing by 2.36%...

In addition, many real estate and steel stocks also increased well such as CII up 3.73%, NLG up 1.86%, DIG up 2.89%, HDC up 2.84%, BCG up 1.77%; HSG up 3.14%, NKG up 2.17%... contributing to the VN-Index increasing by nearly 9 points.

Another positive point is that foreign investors also returned to net buying nearly 524 billion VND on the HOSE floor. In particular, the stocks with the most net buying were KDC 77.64 billion VND, CTG 75.39 billion VND, VRE 60.49 billion VND, GMD 69.21 billion VND, KBC 56.08 billion VND...

Closing the trading session, VN-Index increased by 8.73 points to 1,213.16 points with 320 codes increasing, 167 codes decreasing and 75 codes remaining unchanged.

At the end of the session on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also increased by 1.48 points (0.6%) to 247.96 points with 94 stocks increasing in price, 84 stocks decreasing in price and 59 stocks remaining unchanged. Liquidity remained at a relatively high level with the total transaction value in the whole market reaching nearly 23,500 billion VND.
