The 'extended arms' keep the area peaceful

For over a year, the security and order protection forces at the grassroots level in Tay Ninh province have become "night watchmen" contributing to maintaining peace in life. Overcoming all difficulties in operating conditions, they are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the regular police force, joining hands to build a safe and livable Tay Ninh.

Multi-purpose "extended arms"

Among many career opportunities, Law graduate Nguyen Thi My Phuong chose to join the security force at the Can Duoc Commune Police Station.

My Phuong not only participates in security and order maintenance activities but also effectively applies her professional knowledge. She has become a "right-hand man" of the regular police in implementing Project 06, especially supporting people in carrying out administrative procedures in the digital environment.

"When I first received the assignment, I was also worried. When I started working, I worked hard to learn and understand more to understand clearly, so that I could support the regular police and help people quickly resolve procedures" - My Phuong said.

Despite facing many difficulties, especially when supporting the elderly who are not familiar with technology, My Phuong is always patient and dedicated. She gives detailed instructions on how to install and use the VNeID application, helping people feel more secure when accessing online public services.

Ms. Ho Thi Trinh (living in Can Duoc commune) expressed her satisfaction: "After the administrative unit merger, many people came to the commune police to handle procedures. I am not familiar with technology, but thanks to Phuong's support, the procedures were more convenient."

Can Duoc Commune Police currently has about 80 members of the local security force. They are the "extended arms", effectively supporting the regular police in all aspects of work, from grasping the local situation, patrolling, reconciling conflicts to assisting people in carrying out administrative procedures.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Phong - Head of Can Duoc Commune Police, affirmed: "The force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level plays a key role in consolidating the people's hearts, helping the regular police to fulfill their tasks well, and maintain security and order in the area."

Keep peace on the front lines

Mr. Nguyen Van Ke (residing in Long An ward) has been involved in civil defense activities for nearly 10 years and is now a member of the grassroots security force.

At nearly 60 years old, he is still full of enthusiasm when talking about the days of patrolling each alley and reminding each household to preserve their property.

As a member of the grassroots security force, Mr. Ke further promoted his spirit of dedication, becoming the "nemesis" of crime.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ke (left cover) was awarded a certificate of merit by the People's Committee of Tan An City, Long An Province (old) for his achievements in fighting and preventing crime.

Not afraid of difficulties, Mr. Ke and the regular police force closely followed the area, promptly detected and prevented violations of the law, and kept the area peaceful. "To me, contributing to protecting the peaceful life of the people is a joy," said Mr. Ke.

Long An Ward currently has about 150 members participating in the local security force. With a clear understanding of the area, a high sense of responsibility and initiative, this force always maintains close contact with the people, responding quickly and effectively to incidents that occur.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu (residing in Long An ward) shared: "In the past time, in addition to the regular police, the grassroots security team has also been very close to the people. At night, every week, they often patrol and remind people to protect their property."

Together with Can Duoc commune and Long An ward, the whole province currently has more than 1,500 grassroots security protection teams with about 6,900 members operating in 96 communes and wards. They are important links that help the regular police grasp the situation early and from afar, contributing to keeping people's lives peaceful.

Thanks to the constant efforts of the grassroots security force and the regular police, Tay Ninh province is becoming a safe and livable locality, where every citizen feels protected and at peace./.
