Mr. Thach Sa Phieu, a Cham in Lien Huong commune, is always actively connecting the government with the people, especially in the work of preventing and combating social evils, maintaining security and order in the village and hamlet. For the people, he is a reliable support, helping them feel secure and agree to implement the State's policies. In addition, many other prestigious people are also quietly contributing to the community. They participate in conflict mediation, guide people to develop production, preserve traditional cultural identity, and at the same time, actively propagate the prevention and combat of backward customs and superstitions.

According to the representative of the provincial Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, prestigious people are the spiritual support, contributing to promoting the strength of national unity. Caring for them, fully and promptly implementing policies for them is not only recognition, but also motivation for them to continue promoting their pioneering role in mobilizing people to develop the economy and maintain political security in the locality. Recently, during the tours and learning experiences in the Southwest, the delegation of prestigious people from the Southeast region of the province learned many good models of building cultural families, reducing poverty, preventing and fighting social evils. Ms. Huynh Thi Rung, a prestigious person of the Cham people in Hai Ninh commune, emotionally shared: "Through the trip, I am more deeply imbued with the value of equality and respect in the ethnic policies of the Party and State. Although we are of different ethnicities and regions, we all share the same heart towards the Fatherland, studying and following the example of great Uncle Ho".

Prestigious people not only contribute to the socio -economic development, but also actively participate in the movement of the whole people to protect the security of the Fatherland. Thanks to their support, many effective models have been replicated such as: "Security light", "Security camera", "Cultural, self-governing clan", "Shock team to protect security and order on the streets", "Residential area to prevent and fight drugs"... contributing to maintaining peace in villages and hamlets, creating trust and consensus among the people.

In the coming time, Lam Dong will continue to promote the role of prestigious people through caring, encouraging, and fully implementing policies; at the same time, coordinating to grasp the situation, advising on timely handling, not allowing "hot spots" to arise. Prestigious people will also be given the opportunity to participate in monitoring and social criticism, contributing to strengthening the grassroots political system.
