Nghe An and Thanh Hoa urgently evacuate people from dangerous areas.

Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces have been mobilizing all forces to evacuate people in coastal areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, and deep flooding to safety.

During the afternoon of September 28, the working group led by Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung divided into many groups to directly inspect the situation and urge people to evacuate to a safe place before 3:00 p.m. on September 28.

Military forces, police and other forces in the area have coordinated with commune authorities to support people in moving people and property to safety, minimizing damage. The Nghe An Provincial Military Command alone has participated in evacuating 182 households/447 people to safety.

At Quang Trung apartment complex (Thanh Vinh ward, Nghe An province), residents have been evacuated to safe places. This is an old, seriously degraded apartment complex, so Nghe An province leaders require all residents to evacuate and not be negligent or subjective.

The Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province also issued a document requesting localities to let students stay home from school on September 29 to ensure safety.

* In Thanh Hoa province, very heavy rain in many mountainous areas led to flooding and local isolation in the communes of Thuong Xuan, Hoa Quy, Lam Son, Xuan Chinh... Faced with that situation, local authorities and forces urgently supported people to evacuate to safety.
