Female student with disabilities and the desire to "open the door" to the future

(Baohatinh.vn) - Ignoring the privilege of being exempted from the high school graduation exam due to a congenital disability, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (Vu Quang, Ha Tinh) determined to test her strength before a big exam - an exam of willpower and belief.

Among the many candidates rushing to enter the 2025 High School Graduation Exam at Vu Quang High School, there was a beautiful image that moved many people, that was when Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan - a student of class 12A5, Cu Huy Can High School was helped into the exam room by young volunteers.

Nhan has a congenital disability, making it difficult for her to move around and communicate, but her dream of going to university is always burning in her mind. That is also the reason why the disabled female student approaches the exam with determination, faith and aspiration.

Thanh Nhan was assisted by volunteers into the exam room to complete exam procedures.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan was born into a farming family of 4 siblings in Duc Linh commune (Vu Quang district). Since childhood, witnessing the hardships and sacrifices of her parents, Nhan always wanted to study to have a brighter future, to ease her parents' hardships. Witnessing her love of learning and her aspirations, Nhan's parents always accompanied and encouraged her in her studies. Especially, during the 3 years of high school, rain or shine, every day her parents took the time to travel more than 8 km of forest and mountain roads to take her to school. The love and sacrifice of her parents was the motivation for Nhan to try harder after each challenge, so during the 12 years of studying, she never gave up.

Despite being exempted from the exam according to regulations for students with disabilities, Thanh Nhan still studies diligently. She sets goals for herself, trains herself, and considers each school day a step closer to her dream.

Nhan shared: “Grade 12, the most important year of school, is also the time when I have to face a lot of pressure, but I never intended to give up. I dream of becoming a student of education to impart knowledge and to give more confidence to students in similar situations as me, just like the way the teachers have accompanied and supported me.”

Thanh Nhan considers each school day a step closer to her dream.

Sharing about this special student, Mr. Vo Quang Hoa - homeroom teacher of class 12A5, Cu Huy Can High School said: "During more than 20 years of teaching, I am really impressed with Nhan - a student with extraordinary determination. She makes us love the teaching profession more and believe that education is not only about teaching but also a journey to nurture the dreams and aspirations of students."

Closing 12 years of studying with days of studying without eating or sleeping, Thanh Nhan is now standing at the threshold of a new journey. Although there are still many challenges ahead, with knowledge, faith, perseverance and a heart full of aspirations, Thanh Nhan is confidently entering the exam to continue her journey - a journey full of determination!
