Dodin was ranked 46th in the world in 2017. She had to rest for nearly 9 months due to a vestibular disorder that lasted for more than 10 years.
During her treatment, Dodin took the opportunity to undergo breast augmentation surgery. This is something she said she "wanted to do for a long time but never had the right time."
"During the season, it was impossible because I had to rest for at least two months after the surgery. So when I stopped to treat the disease, I thought it was the right time," Dodin told RMC Sport . She confirmed that she has no regrets about this decision and said that the surgery did not affect her ability to compete at the highest level.
According to Dodin, she was carefully advised by her surgeon to avoid any impact on her sports activities. "People said I would not be able to play tennis again, but that was not true. I feel completely fine," she said.
The French tennis player has now returned to competition, participating in the W35 Reims 2025 tournament under the ITF system and reaching the quarterfinals. If she wins the championship, this will be the 18th ITF title of her career.
Ranked 363rd in the world, Dodin aims to qualify for the 2026 Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year. Her career best result is reaching the fourth round of the 2024 Australian Open.
Dodin's decision quickly attracted attention in the tennis world, as she became a rare case of publicly undergoing cosmetic surgery while still competing at the top level.
