Through the situation, Yen Thanh District Police discovered a drug trafficking ring from abroad to Vietnam through Tri Le border gate (Que Phong District). Yen Thanh District Police reported and were assigned by Nghe An Provincial Police to set up a special project to fight.

On January 22, the Investigation Committee determined that in the next few days, the subject would bring the "goods" to Vietnam. Yen Thanh District Police presided over and coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) and the police of Que Phong, Dien Chau, and Quy Hop districts to solve the case.

At 5:00 p.m. on February 2, on National Highway 1A, passing through Dien Ky Commune (Dien Chau District), the Task Force successfully arrested Tran Thi Lan (born in 1962, residing in Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District) and Nguyen Thi Truyen (born in 1958, residing in Kim Son Town, Que Phong District) who were illegally transporting drugs. The seized exhibits included 48,000 synthetic drug pills and related documents and evidence.
