From 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2024, fireworks displays welcoming the New Year 2024 will fly across the sky of Ho Chi Minh City. In the city center, people flocked to the streets, joining in the bustling and exciting atmosphere of welcoming the new year.

This year, in addition to the two familiar areas of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), for the first time, people have a new place to watch fireworks at The Global City (Thu Duc City).

Since the evening, people and tourists from all over have flocked to the New Year fireworks display sites to enjoy special artistic fireworks displays. The central streets of the city are crowded with vehicles, leading to congestion and difficulty in moving. Parking lots are also almost full. The Ho Chi Minh City Police and functional units closely monitor the area, organize patrols and handle the situation, to ensure the best security and order for people to have fun safely.
At the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel is the high-altitude fireworks display. 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-altitude fireworks, and 10 pyrotechnic fireworks will be fired at 0:00.
At Dam Sen Cultural Park, the artistic fireworks display combined with water music countdown took place at the Dam Sen lake shore area. 90 low-altitude platforms and 30 pyrotechnic platforms brought eye-catching fireworks displays.
Meanwhile, at The Global City, the fireworks display was brilliant and eye-catching, with more than 4,500 fireworks fired in 15 minutes. The fireworks were performed on 100 technical platforms of all kinds: flower spraying platforms, pellet spraying platforms, flashing platforms with the latest fireworks models, with a range that ensures serving more than 50,000 participants at the same time, combined with special sound and light effects. The fireworks were of all shapes: stars, flowers, many brilliant colors shimmering in the sky according to the arrangement of professional visual directors.
During the transition from the old year to the new year, countdown festivals are held in many places. Entera Countdown 2024 festival right on Nguyen Hue walking street brings together artists Toc Tien, Binz, Soobin, Karik, Rhymastic, GDucky, Phuong Ly... From very early on, tens of thousands of people gathered to participate in this festival.
The Luxury Countdown Party 2024 at The Global City featured performances by Ha Anh Tuan, Dong Nhi, Duong Hoang Yen, the Chillies band, Grey D, and Phao, attracting nearly 50,000 spectators. Here, in addition to watching music and fireworks, people can also enjoy a water music performance with a fountain system over 60m high combined with laser technology.
Meanwhile, the “Thu Duc Convergence” countdown festival had nearly 40,000 spectators. Ho Chi Minh City Book Street also organized with the Vietnam Television Face program of HTV, this is the first New Year countdown activity in this area.
