(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 26, Le Chan District Party Committee held a Conference to launch the Political Contest on "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation" in 2024 and the Reporters Conference in March 2024. Comrade Pham Van Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council chaired the Conference.

Attending the Conference were comrades: Nguyen Thi Bich Dung, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Dao Van Hoan, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of departments, offices, units, political and social organizations; Reporters, Social Opinion Collaborators of the district; Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, Party Committees in charge of propaganda work of Party Cells and Party Committees under the District Party Committee.

Comrade Pham Van Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council spoke at the Conference.

Speaking at the launching conference, comrade Pham Van Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, requested the Steering Committee of 35 districts, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the whole district to continue to strengthen propaganda work to raise awareness, actively deploy the Contest with a spirit of urgency, creating a widespread influence; attracting the participation of a large number of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the whole district to ensure that the entries are effective, of high quality, practical, topical and highly combative. This is an opportunity for each cadre, party member and people to express their feelings, enthusiasm and responsibility for the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, contributing to creating strong changes in the implementation of Resolution No. 35 of the Politburo in the coming time.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a speech at the Conference.

Within the framework of the Conference, delegates listened to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations, former Director of the Diplomatic Academy, thoroughly explain the topic of information on the world situation and Vietnam's foreign affairs. Thereby, providing a lot of new and useful information in an official way to help key cadres, cadres doing propaganda work and cadres and party members at the grassroots level to grasp comprehensively, fully and systematically the outstanding international current issues and their impacts on the socio-economic situation. From there, promptly orienting the propaganda work of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on international issues in practice that are of interest to cadres, party members, especially the people and public opinion.
