Launching a songwriting contest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification

Accordingly, the works participating in the contest are songs with musical styles that are legally circulating in Vietnam.

The content of the work focuses on the historical value and the great, profound significance of the cause of national unification under the leadership of the Party over the past 50 years; showing the beauty of culture, people, country and territorial integrity of Vietnam. At the same time, it shows the economic , national defense, security, cultural and social achievements of 54 ethnic groups united to build a prosperous and happy life over the past 50 years.

Major General Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, said that composing and promoting the musical work with the theme "Song of Unification" aims to affirm the realistic and spiritual values ​​of a unified country, arousing and promoting the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary heroism.

At the same time, these works also contribute to encouraging and motivating Vietnamese musicians at home and abroad to create works of high ideological and artistic value, contributing to fostering and strongly arousing patriotism, self-reliance, national solidarity and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

The contest will consist of 3 rounds, the preliminary round will select 50 works for the final round. The final round will select 15 works for the final round.

Time for receiving works from June 14, 2024 to January 6, 2025. Time for organizing selection and awarding prizes: January 7, 2025 - March 3, 2025.

Prize structure: 1 first prize of 80 million, 2 second prizes of 50 million each, 4 third prizes of 30 million each and 8 consolation prizes of 10 million each and a number of other thematic prizes.
