Launching the song composition contest to promote the 13th National Youth Union Congress, term 2026-2031

On the afternoon of September 30, at the headquarters of Thanh Nien Newspaper, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a press meeting to introduce the song composition contest to promote the 13th National Youth Union Congress, term 2026-2031.

The 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (term 2026-2031) is an important political event, affirming the intelligence, mettle and spirit of solidarity and action of young people.

Therefore, the purpose of the contest is to widely propagate to cadres, union members, youth and people at home and abroad about the important political event of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnamese youth; to encourage emulation movements in all levels of the union and youth nationwide before, during and after the congress, thereby promoting the pioneering and creative role of youth in implementing movements, projects and practical tasks to welcome the Congresses of the Union at all levels and the 13th National Congress of the Union.

Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to attract the attention, artistic creativity, and media products of a large number of musicians, singers, people working in the fields of music, art, creativity..., and people from all walks of life to participate in creating musical works and propaganda products with high ideological and artistic value, with the power to move and spread to promote and encourage the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

In particular, the contest will help the Organizing Committee select the official propaganda song for the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026-2031.

According to the Organizing Committee, the content of the entries must demonstrate the stature and significance of the National Youth Union Congress; demonstrate the spirit of Pioneering - Solidarity - Courage - Breakthrough - Development of Vietnamese youth in the revolutionary cause of the nation.

The works must clearly demonstrate and depict the determination of the youth of the whole country to join hands and unite to successfully implement the country's development goals until 2030, with a vision to 2045, to be self-reliant, confident, and move forward in the era of the nation's rise for peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steady steps towards socialism, with the spirit of "5 pioneers": pioneering the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; pioneering legitimate enrichment, developing the country's economy; pioneering international integration; pioneering in volunteer activities for the community; pioneering in participating in protecting the Fatherland...

At the same time, the entries need to demonstrate the attention of the Party, State, all levels and sectors; the feelings and expectations of young people and people towards the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union...

According to the Organizing Committee, Vietnamese citizens living, working, studying and laboring in the country and abroad, and foreigners living, working, studying and laboring in Vietnam can participate in the contest.

The Organizing Committee will accept entries from the launch date of the contest, September 30, until November 30. After that, the Jury and Organizing Committee will evaluate and select the best song as the official song for the Congress. The Organizing Committee plans to award the contest prize in December 2025.
