The purpose of the contest is to promote and encourage organizations and individuals to learn about and actively participate in contests on traditional occupations and craft villages in Ho Chi Minh City; raise awareness and responsibility for preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of the locality; honor traditional occupations and craft villages recognized by the City People's Committee.
The contest aims to continue to search for and develop occupations, advise on recognition of occupations and traditional craft villages in the city after the merger. At the same time, widely promote the products of traditional craft villages of Ho Chi Minh City to a wide range of consumers.
The writing contest to learn about traditional occupations and craft villages in Ho Chi Minh City is open to all Vietnamese citizens, regardless of age, occupation, living in the country or abroad.

Contest entries include reportage, notes, memoirs, etc. Each author can enter a maximum of 2 entries. Entries must be 600 - 1,000 words long, with at least 3 illustrations.
The prize structure includes 1 first prize worth 5 million VND; 2 second prizes worth 3 million VND each; 3 third prizes worth 2 million VND each and 5 consolation prizes worth 1 million VND each. In addition, the organizing committee also awarded many other secondary prizes.
Time to receive articles and photos from October 20 to November 30.
