Disseminate laws on beliefs and religions to more than 160 dignitaries and officials

On the morning of September 8, in Long Xuyen ward (An Giang province), the Government Committee for Religious Affairs held a conference to disseminate laws on beliefs and religions to religious dignitaries and officials of religious organizations. Attending the conference were Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Thi Minh Nga; Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province Danh Lam.

More than 160 delegates attended the conference to disseminate laws on beliefs and religions.

Attending the conference were over 160 delegates who were dignitaries and officials of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha, the Pure Land Buddhist Lay Association of Vietnam, the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association, the Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhist Association, and the Buu Son Ky Huong Buddhist Association.

At the conference, delegates were informed about the following topics: Current situation of beliefs and religions; the Party's viewpoints and policies on beliefs and religions; Law on beliefs and religions and decrees on beliefs and religions; laws related to beliefs and religions (land, construction, etc.); administrative procedures in the field of beliefs and religions.

Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Thi Minh Nga said that in recent times, religions have made many contributions to the overall development of the country, typically patriotic emulation, social security, and humanitarian charity activities. In the process of reorganizing administrative units, the State has issued new legal documents and regulations related to religious and belief activities.

The conference is an opportunity for the Government Committee for Religious Affairs to meet and visit religions; to inform religious dignitaries and officials about new regulations. Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Thi Minh Nga hopes that religious dignitaries and officials will absorb the contents, and at the same time will be reporters to propagate the contents to believers at the grassroots level...
