Attending the conference were over 160 delegates who were dignitaries and officials of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha, the Pure Land Buddhist Lay Association of Vietnam, the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association, the Hieu Nghia Ta Lon Buddhist Association, and the Buu Son Ky Huong Buddhist Association.
At the conference, delegates were informed about the following topics: Current situation of beliefs and religions; the Party's viewpoints and policies on beliefs and religions; Law on beliefs and religions and decrees on beliefs and religions; laws related to beliefs and religions (land, construction, etc.); administrative procedures in the field of beliefs and religions.

In the process of reorganizing administrative units, the State has issued new legal documents and regulations related to religious and belief activities.
The conference is an opportunity for the Government Committee for Religious Affairs to meet and visit religions; to inform religious dignitaries and officials about new regulations.
