Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son visits TH Group's fresh milk factory in Russia

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the occasion of attending the 8th Russian Energy Week Forum, on the morning of October 17, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son visited the fresh milk processing factory in Kaluga province of TH Group - the first private enterprise of Vietnam to invest in the agricultural sector in Russia.

The factory is part of TH Group's high-tech dairy farming and milk processing project, including dairy farms in the Moscow region, Kaluga, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Primorsky region, along with 3 milk processing plants in Kaluga, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Primorsky region, with investment divided into 2 phases.

In phase 1, TH Group invested in building 2 cow farms in Moscow and Kaluga with a capacity of 250 tons/day/farm, and 1 milk processing factory with a capacity of 1,000 tons/day in Kaluga.

After phase 1, TH Group will continue to implement phase 2 of the factory to reach a total capacity of 1,000 tons/day by 2026. At the same time, the Group plans to start construction of the second farm in Kaluga and continue dairy farming and fresh milk processing activities in the Primorye region (Far East), Republic of Bashkortostan.

Currently, TH's total herd of cows in Moscow and Kaluga is about 10,000, with an average milk yield of 40 liters/cow/day, 2.5 times higher than Russia's average milk yield (17-20 liters/cow/day).

The investment in building the TH Fresh Milk Processing Factory in Russia is proof of the words of Labor Hero Thai Huong - founder of TH Group, "chief architect" of the project: "I will bring Vietnamese milk to the world".

The products of TH Fresh Milk Processing Factory in Kaluga are very diverse, from traditional Russian products, such as pasteurized fresh milk, sterilized milk, smetana, yogurt, kefir, ryazhenka, butter, cheese, cream... to non-traditional products, meeting local tastes and aiming for export to regional and international markets, such as BRICS and Asia - Pacific.

TH Group also aims to develop organic products according to international standards in Russia.

Speaking to the factory's staff and workers, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the humanistic significance of the project, which is to create clean, high-quality products to serve the Russian people and for export; contributing to enriching the economic cooperation between the two countries; and at the same time demonstrating the integration capacity of Vietnamese enterprises.

The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that TH Group will speed up the construction progress and put it into operation as soon as possible; at the same time, ensure self-sufficiency in raw materials for production in Russia and export to bring benefits to the enterprise and serve the Russian people, in line with Russia's orientation of self-sufficiency in food, including milk for the people.
