Join hands to build our homeland

Right from the beginning of 2025, the Provincial Women's Union launched a special emulation campaign with the theme " Ca Mau women unite - innovate - start a business - develop sustainably, make achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels". Accordingly, emulation movements were concretized by practical actions such as: "Self-managed women's road", "Flower route - new rural road", " Women say no to plastic waste" were replicated, creating a clear mark throughout the province.

The Provincial Women's Union is making efforts to develop livelihood models, especially local OCOP products.

Responding to the activities to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, the whole province has hundreds of projects and tasks undertaken by the Women's Union such as: building "Happy Houses" and "Warm Homes of Love" for poor women; awarding scholarships and bicycles to students overcoming difficulties; organizing medical examinations and giving gifts to people in remote areas.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu, President of the Women's Union of Dat Mui commune, said: "To join hands to take care of the lives of women and children, every month the Union reviews to grasp each particularly difficult situation in order to promptly support health insurance, school bags, books, bicycles, etc. The Union creates livelihoods, provides loans for business, and introduces sustainable and suitable production models. The "Godmother" program is maintained by the Union, while at the same time coordinating with the Border Guard to implement the "Following Children to School" program, accompanying orphans to school on the occasion of the opening of the school year."

Women join hands to build a net weaving model to escape poverty.

Confident voice, enhanced role

Responding to the Party and State's policies on gender equality , the Provincial Women's Union promotes the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", associated with the implementation of the National Strategy on Gender Equality. In localities in the province, many women have risen to become masters of the family economy through effective production and business models such as shrimp farming, clean vegetable growing, starting a business from local products..., contributing to poverty reduction and improving the quality of life. Not only that, they also actively participate in social work, playing an important role in political and social organizations at the grassroots level.

Ms. Huynh Thi My, President of the Women's Union of Nam Can Commune, shared: "In the past, women had few opportunities to participate in community work. But now, the role of women has changed. With training and propaganda, women are bold enough to speak up, contribute ideas in community meetings, and contribute with the government to build new rural areas. When women are given opportunities, they will contribute more positively to the overall development of society."

Women are increasingly asserting their roles and positions in all fields.

In the business field, Ca Mau female entrepreneurs are increasingly asserting their position, especially the young entrepreneurs. They are not only a dynamic force in the economy but also a bridge between tradition and innovation, contributing to building the image of a creative and integrated Ca Mau.

Ms. Ho Le Quyen, Deputy Director of VNPT Ca Mau, President of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, is one of the typical examples. With her vision and innovative spirit, she has led the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association to many activities that leave a clear mark. Ms. Quyen affirmed: “In addition to business, female entrepreneurs in the Association also actively participate in social activities, support poor women, children in difficult circumstances, participate in environmental protection, build new rural areas, and share start-up experiences. With support in policies, networks and training, Ca Mau female entrepreneurs can make stronger contributions, not only to their own businesses but also to the overall development of the province”.

Ms. Le Ngoc Linh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union emphasized: "The emulation movements of the Union not only have social significance but also have profound political value.
