According to Mr. Ho Dai Dung, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival and Culture - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2024 will take place from April 9 to April 18 (ie from March 1 to March 10) in Viet Tri city, Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, districts, towns and cities in the province.

The ceremony is organized to ensure solemnity, respect, community spirit, safety, civilization, and economy with many important rituals such as: The Commemoration of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and Incense offering in memory of Mother Au Co on the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month (April 14, 2024); The Commemoration of the Hung Kings and Flower Offering at the relief "Uncle Ho talking with cadres and soldiers of the Vanguard Army" on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month (April 18, 2024); Incense offering ceremony in memory of the Hung Kings of districts, towns, and cities in the province from the 1st to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month (April 9 - 18, 2024).

The content of the festival is closely linked with cultural, sports and tourism events, forming a series of activities of the Cultural - Tourism Week, contributing to expressing the unique cultural identity of the land of the ancestors, promoting the potential and strengths of Phu Tho cultural tourism resources, creating attractiveness, attracting tourists from all over the world to attend the festival on the occasion of the Hung Temple Festival and visit and experience tourism in the land of the ancestors in the coming time.

Many exciting activities will take place, including the opening program of the Hung Temple Festival and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of the Dragon 2024 held at the Central Festival Stage - Hung Temple Historical Site.

In localities and districts with relics worshiping Hung Kings and historical figures of the Hung Kings' time, plans should be made to organize incense offering ceremonies to commemorate Hung Kings and their ancestors at the relic sites, and people should be encouraged to prepare trays of food and offerings to burn incense at home to promote the fine moral traditions of the Vietnamese people, contributing to preserving the heritage value of the Hung Kings' worship in Phu Tho.

Launching the tour "To the UNESCO Heritage Site"

Ms. Phung Thi Hoa Le, Head of Tourism Management Department, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, said that on the occasion of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival in 2024, the Department launched the tour "To the UNESCO Heritage Site". In which, Hung Temple is taken as the main starting point to go to other famous and scenic spots in the province.

The 1-day tour will have two options: Hung Temple, Lai Len Temple, Hung Lo ancient village (or Hung Temple - Lai Len Temple); the 2-day 1-night tour includes: Hung Temple, Hung Lo ancient communal house, Tam Giang Temple, Long Coc tea hill, Wyham Thanh Thuy tourist area. The 3-day 2-night tour includes: Hung Temple, Long Coc tea hill and Xuan Son National Park.

According to Ms. Le, tourists joining this tour will practice the worship of Hung Kings - an intangible cultural heritage of humanity at the Hung Temple historical relic site; enjoy Xoan singing - an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO and visit Hung Lo ancient communal house - a complex of culturally valuable and typical relics in the land of the ancestors; Lai Len temple - the origin of Phu Tho Xoan singing. Tourists can also visit Tam Giang temple, a 1,300-year-old temple, located at the confluence of three rivers: Red River, Lo River, Da River...

In particular, when participating in this tour, visitors can also admire the beautiful, poetic scenery of Long Coc tea hill. This is the most attractive destination in Tan Son district, Phu Tho.
