Vinh Phuc Ward focuses on building civilized streets

After merging and implementing the 2-level local government, Vinh Phuc ward was identified as the central administrative unit of the Vinh Phuc area (old). Therefore, the ward Party Committee determined that urban beautification is a key and continuous task in the coming period to build the locality into a civilized and modern urban area in accordance with the goals set out in the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Vinh Phuc Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Vinh Phuc Ward strengthens beautification work to continue building the locality into a civilized and modern urban area.

Based on the direction of the Party Committee, the Ward People's Committee assigned the ward's specialized departments and offices to advise, propose and organize the implementation of urban beautification tasks and build civilized streets, in which planning work is focused on.

The Department of Economics , Infrastructure and Urban Areas has advised the Ward People's Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee on adjusting the zoning planning projects; detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 of the landscape architecture of the North-South spatial axis of Vinh Phuc urban area to suit the socio-economic development of the ward.

Continue to coordinate with the Department of Construction and related units to research and review to adjust planning projects; construction projects in the area according to decentralization; propose solutions to overcome overlaps and conflicts. In particular, focus on a number of plans related to the goals and development orientation indicators of the ward as well as the province.

The functional forces of Vinh Phuc ward launched propaganda on construction management, construction order and urban order.

On the basis of receiving the status quo of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; the public investment plan for 2025 as well as receiving the handover of projects of old wards in the area, according to the approval of the Ward People's Council, the Ward People's Committee has decided to assign the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and the public investment plan for 2025 to invest in, complete infrastructure, and implement renovation projects.

Up to now, the total number of renovation and beautification projects handed over for continued implementation is 41 projects, of which 6 projects have been finalized with a total settlement value of nearly 77.7 billion VND; 27 projects are continuing to be implemented with a total investment of over 1,127 billion VND; 8 projects have been and are completing investment preparation procedures. Currently, the Ward People's Committee has directed relevant units to continue implementing urban beautification projects to complete the projects, meeting the needs of the people.

Construction management, construction order and urban order have also been given attention and implemented regularly and continuously.

Recently, the Ward People's Committee has established an interdisciplinary delegation to inspect land management, urban order, and construction order. At the same time, it organized a launching ceremony to carry out a peak period of land management, urban order, construction order inspection, and traffic safety in the ward to raise awareness and consciousness of cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life in complying with legal regulations on land management, urban order, construction order, and traffic safety.

Through the inspection, the specialized agency discovered and handled 21 cases, of which 16 cases of violations related to land, 5 cases related to urban order were resolved. Along with that, the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of the ward has launched an inspection to maintain urban order on the roads in the area; Vinh Yen market area...

The work of beautifying and building a green, clean, beautiful and modern Vinh Phuc city is always focused on.

The management of public services and public utilities is carried out in accordance with the provisions of law. Urban water supply and drainage activities are ensured, and urban roads in the area are basically invested in, renovated and upgraded.

Project investment has been made at frequently flooded areas in the area such as: Flooded areas on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (from Ba Trieu Street to Chu Van An Street), flooded areas on National Highway 2 (Go Supermarket area) and flooded areas on Me Linh Street (Vinh Phuc Motor Vehicle Inspection Center area), contributing to reducing local flooding during prolonged heavy rains.

In the period of 2021-2025, urban roads and alleys that meet basic ground conditions will be invested in underground and new urban lighting systems will be invested. Up to now, 100% of roads, streets and over 95% of alleys in the ward are lit. The urban green tree system has been maintained stably, contributing to improving the quality of the living environment and urban landscape, meeting the expectations of the people.

As the central ward of the old Vinh Phuc area, the Ward People's Committee has identified the construction of civilized streets as one of the key tasks, contributing to building Vinh Phuc ward towards a green, civilized, modern urban area with sustainable economic, cultural and social development.

To maintain 22 civilized streets in the whole area, the Ward People's Committee has directed the specialized department to coordinate propaganda and mobilize people to implement the following criteria: There are no cases of arbitrary destruction or construction of additional curbs affecting the drainage structure, sidewalk and roadway aesthetics; the sign system is preserved and maintained; sidewalks, headquarters, agencies and units are always maintained by people and agencies and units to ensure cleanliness, safety...

To maintain construction order, urban order and promote the effectiveness of civilized streets, Vinh Phuc Ward People's Committee continues to strengthen propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on urban order, building civilized urban lifestyle to raise community awareness of ensuring urban civilization.

Thoroughly resolve hotspots of urban order, decisively handle the situation of encroachment on sidewalks for business and spontaneous trading, especially on main streets and public areas; strictly handle violations; have stronger sanctions for repeated violations to create deterrence.

Along with that, the ward's authorities and mass organizations promote cultural, artistic and sports movements in residential areas, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people.
