Tan Lan Commune Police help people get back 20 million VND mistakenly transferred

On October 8, Tan Lan Commune Police, Tay Ninh Province received a thank you letter from Mr. Dien Thien Thuan (born in 1964) for being supported in receiving back 20 million VND due to a mistaken transfer.

Previously, Mr. Thuan reported to Tan Lan Commune Police that during a banking transaction, due to negligence, he mistakenly transferred 20 million VND into a stranger's account.

Immediately after receiving the information, Tan Lan Commune Police quickly verified and reviewed related data and identified the mistaken recipient as a woman residing in Nha Truong Hamlet, Tan Lan Commune.

Commune police officers coordinated with local security forces to work and persuade this person. In the presence of the authorities, the woman returned the entire amount of 20 million VND to Mr. Thuan.

From this incident, Tan Lan Commune Police recommended that people should carefully check the recipient's information, account number and amount before making a transfer; and should use the "save frequent recipients" feature to limit confusion.

When discovering a wrong transfer, people need to stay calm, contact the bank and immediately report to the nearest police station. They should not arbitrarily contact, threaten or ask the person who mistakenly received the money to return it to avoid complicated disputes./.
