After the lower versions, Porsche has given a mid-life update to the 911 Turbo S - the most advanced version of the 992.2 generation 911, which was just launched at the IAA Exhibition in Munich last month. Very quickly, this model was opened for orders by Porsche Vietnam, with an expected delivery date in the third quarter of 2026. The new 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S is available as a coupe and convertible and features significantly improved performance, a 'more powerful design', improved aerodynamics, an optimized chassis and more unique equipment. The new Turbo S inherits the highlights of Porsche's cross-line Turbo versions of the 911.
Contrast details are finished in Turbonite Grey, a colour exclusive to the Turbo models. These include the Porsche logo, Turbo S lettering and the new wheel hubcap design. There are also Turbo S-specific details on the rear spoiler lip and side window surrounds. Turbonite accents also appear in the cabin, namely on the door panels, steering wheel, center console and dashboard trim, decorative stitching, Sport Chrono stopwatch and instrument cluster. The dark color also appears on the seat belts and some of the buttons. Carbon fiber trim strips with neodyme edging and a perforated microfiber headliner with black lining also appear for the first time. 18-way electrically adjustable " Sports Seats Plus" with memory function and "Turbo S" lettering on the headrests are standard. Porsche says the Turbo S-specific embossing on the seat surfaces and door panels echoes the design lines of the first 911 Turbo 930.
For a more aggressive sports car, the 911 GT3's lightweight, folding sports seats are available as an option for the coupe. The coupe is sold as a two-seater, but customers can request rear seats at no extra cost. The convertible version comes in a 2+2 configuration. In terms of customization, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers more than 100 exterior colors, an exposed carbon roof, and even ultra-light carbon windshield wipers that are 50 percent lighter. The engine is now electrified, like the one in the 911 Carrera GTS. The GTS only has one eTurbo integrated into the 400V T-Hybrid system with a 1.9kWh battery, but there are two eTurbos for the Turbo S, with a specially designed turbine and compressor. Porsche says the move from one to two eTurbos not only increases peak power but also improves responsiveness.
The 8-speed PDK gearbox integrates an electric motor that transmits power to the all-wheel drive system, helping the Turbo S Coupe accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds - faster than the McLaren W1 hypercar which needs 2.7 seconds), a reduction of 2/10th of a second compared to before. The car accelerates from 0-200km/h in just 8.4 seconds, half a second faster. Maximum speed reaches 322km/h. The car also gets new tires and brakes with larger rear discs. This is the largest PCCB braking system ever on a Porsche two-door. The T-Hybrid's high-voltage electrical system and battery allow Porsche to equip the new Turbo S with the electro-hydraulically controlled Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) as standard. In Vietnam, the new Porsche 911 Turbo S 992.2 is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2026 and will be sold in both closed and convertible versions. The price has not been announced, but some information suggests that the closed coupe version will start from 21.8 billion VND.
