Ba Dinh District launches traffic safety school gate model

Vice Chairman of Cong Vi Ward People's Committee Nguyen Hai Ha said that, based on the direction of Ba Dinh District People's Committee, the Ward Party Committee - People's Committee, Ward Police coordinated with the Board of Directors of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School and specialized departments and units to conduct a survey of the current status of urban order, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation in the area of ​​Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School to develop a plan to implement the model of "Traffic safety school gate".

Students of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School were given helmets by leaders of Ba Dinh District, Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) and Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police).

In particular, the authorities have painted and marked lines for parents' vehicles in the school area; maintained inspections and handled cases of illegal parking, encroachment on sidewalks and roads, street vendors, and traffic obstructions on Lieu Giai and Phan Ke Binh streets, especially in the area of ​​Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School. Cong Vi Ward also proposed that the District Urban Management Department paint lines across the road and speed bumps in front of the school gate (Phan Ke Binh Street); and requested Ba Dinh Electricity Company to clear and bundle electrical and telecommunication wires in front of the school gate area.

The organizing units signed a commitment to implement the model "Traffic safety school gate".

The Board of Directors of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School organized propaganda to teachers, staff, parents and students of the school about the purpose and significance of building the model "Traffic Safety School Gate"; coordinated propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on traffic safety and order, safe traffic participation skills for students; made billboards and slogans to propagate the model "Traffic Safety School Gate"; ensured facilities to maintain the model; established a school Self-management Team with teachers and staff (encouraging the participation of parents) to maintain traffic safety and order in the school area.

Traffic Police Department officers propagate, disseminate and instruct the Road Traffic Law to students of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School.

This is a model to promote and strengthen propaganda and education work for students, teachers, and school staff to better understand the importance of participating in traffic, raise awareness of compliance with traffic safety laws in all circumstances, and contribute to reducing traffic accidents for students. Building a safe and friendly traffic environment, contributing to reducing violations of traffic safety laws, and early forming awareness of compliance with traffic safety laws for students right from when they are in school.

At the launching ceremony, the organizing units signed a commitment to implement the model of "Traffic Safety School Gate" at Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School. In addition, students of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School were given helmets by leaders of Ba Dinh District, the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and the Traffic Police Department ( Hanoi City Police); and were informed, disseminated and guided by officers of the Traffic Police Department on the Road Traffic Law and rules and measures to ensure traffic order and safety at the school gate area.
