In recent years, Tuyen Quang province has always organized the Tourism Year event as a highlight to promote and motivate tourism development. Before the opening ceremony, the province always selected cities and provinces with tourism potential to organize the Communication Conference. In 2023, the province chose Ho Chi Minh City and in 2024 in Da Nang City. The conference gathered all the components of tourism promotion and communication in the country.
At the Communication Conference on Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024, the province focused on promoting its potential, strengths, investment attraction policies in tourism, tours, tourism products and upcoming tourism events. The highlight of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 will be the International Hot Air Balloon Festival; displaying and introducing hundreds of stalls of craft village products and announcing the new tourism product My Lam Mineral Spring - Magical Spring.
According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Investment Promotion Center, in addition to the traditional method of promoting tourism in newspapers, leaflets, brochures, travel guides, and promotion programs, the center has diversified the types of promotion, especially in the digital transformation era.
National cultural identity is the highlight of the province's tourism promotion.
First of all, we must take advantage of the speed and popularity of social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, YouTube, and TikTok. Like the recent media conference, the province also invited all of these components to participate, increasing promotion and interaction. Currently, information about Tuyen Quang tourism such as tourism products, tourism events, tours, accommodation facilities, and restaurants are all updated on the Tourism Information Portal at "Mytuyenquang.vn" and the mobile tourism application APP called "Tuyen Quang tourism".
Through the recent tourism survey in the districts in the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong requested localities, businesses, and homestay households to strengthen tourism promotion through personal fanpages. From this personal fanpage, it is possible to link to the provincial Tourism Information Portal. This way, the promotion will be systematic and effective.
He believes that in addition to promoting through influential figures, movies, and music, each locality should pay attention to check-in points. However, check-in points must be carefully selected, have beautiful views, truly be local tourism symbols, and have a harmonious design, suitable for the natural landscape. The recent Provincial Youth Union organizing a check-in model design contest is also a good idea, strengthening tourism promotion.
The province organizes cultural, sports, and festival events, builds titles, Guinness records, surveys, and visits by delegates, managers, scientists , and travel companies, which also contribute to promoting tourism. Especially, organizing competitions, choosing to use logos, slogans, and tourism souvenirs of the province in a unified and systematic way, creating a widespread and high recognition.
Connect
No province can develop tourism alone, every "game" requires connection. Tuyen Quang province has identified this issue very early. First, it is necessary to promote connection in traffic infrastructure. Currently, the Phu Tho - Tuyen Quang expressway has been completed and put into use; the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway; the Na Hang - Ba Be route is under construction, when completed, the regional connection will take shape. Ms. Tran Thu, a tourist from Hanoi, affirmed that going to Tuyen Quang now takes place quickly, comfortably, and safely on the expressway. With about 2 hours by car, tourists can leisurely have breakfast and drink coffee in Tuyen Quang.
Regional connectivity will create impressive and diverse tourism tours, said Mr. Le Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The tourism cooperation program "Through the Viet Bac heritage sites", including 6 provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen has had strong and substantial changes, gradually going into depth.
The mechanism of connection and linkage, the provinces take turns to be the head of the cooperation group to host activities for a year. The group of 6 provinces will meet annually to discuss issues related to regional tourism, focusing on the connection stage. In addition, Tuyen Quang also has tourism connections with provinces and cities across the country that have strengths and potential in tourism, prioritizing connections with neighboring provinces and tourism products that can complement each other.
The province also cooperates with many large tourism enterprises and companies such as Vietravel, Vietjet Air, Hanoitourist, Vietrantour, UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club... Currently, there are 13 tourism companies in the province that are facilitated to operate well. The companies are regularly invited by the province to participate in tourism promotion programs of the province. Thereby, they can grasp the policies, planning, investment policies, new tourism products and services to deploy connections more effectively and proactively.
According to tourism experts, in the current "take-off" phase of tourism development, the issue of promoting and connecting tourism is very important for Tuyen Quang, the key to success.
