Timely evacuation of 15 people from a passenger bus stuck in floodwaters

At about 8:30 a.m. on September 30, at Km 18, National Highway 34, passing through Bac Biu village, Ngoc Duong commune (formerly Yen Dinh commune, Bac Me district), a passenger bus carrying 15 people (including the driver) traveling in the direction of Bac Me - Ha Giang when passing through the spillway suddenly stalled, stuck in the middle of floodwaters.

Immediately after receiving the news, the authorities and military forces of Ngoc Duong commune arrived promptly and organized the evacuation of all passengers on the bus to a safe place. Currently, the bus is still stuck in the middle of the water and the authorities are urgently implementing measures to move the vehicle out of the dangerous area.

Passengers were evacuated to safety.

Authorities put up ropes to warn people not to cross the spillway area.

Currently, flood water levels flowing through the spillway area continue to rise. Local authorities recommend that people absolutely do not move through this area to ensure the safety of life and property.
