The National Assembly held its final session of the term, approved and elected a number of leadership positions.

The session both summarized a term of many innovations, democracy, responsibility and efficiency, and prepared for the journey of the 16th National Assembly term.

The session is expected to last for about 40 days, closing on December 11. Accordingly, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents.

Regarding legislative work, delegates will consider and pass 49 laws and 4 resolutions. This is the session with the largest number of legislative contents since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term.

The National Assembly will consider and decide on 13 groups of contents on socio -economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues.

In addition, delegates also reviewed and discussed the summary report on the implementation by members of the Government , Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and State Auditor General of the resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning; and discussed the draft Report on the work of the 15th National Assembly term.

The National Assembly also reviewed the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of the President, the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Nationality Council, the National Assembly committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit Office; reviewed and approved the Resolution summarizing the work for the 2021-2026 term and many other important contents.

At this session, there will be changes in the way the National Assembly monitors the implementation of resolutions. Specifically, delegates will not question Government members as in previous sessions, but agencies will send full reports, and delegates will send written questions for the questioned person to answer. The National Assembly will compile the report and set aside a session to discuss this content.

On September 15, at the conference between the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, the two sides agreed on many key contents to prepare for the 10th session. Although the workload was very large, the meeting program was arranged very scientifically and tightly.

The two sides affirmed to continue to join hands, be united, and be responsible to the end for the interests of the nation, the people, and to ensure that the "historic" session will be a great success, leaving a complete mark for the entire term of the 15th National Assembly.

The recent 13th Central Committee Conference gave opinions on personnel for the Politburo to introduce to the National Assembly to elect the Secretary General of the National Assembly, two committee chairmen and approve the positions of deputy prime minister and minister at this 10th session.

Based on the decision of the Central Executive Committee and the submission of competent agencies, the National Assembly will consider and decide on a number of personnel matters within its authority, including: electing, approving, or dismissing a number of leadership positions in the state apparatus.
