Mr. Luu Van Khiem, residing in Vinh Thoi commune, Lai Vung district, Dong Thap province, said that due to the weather, the quantity of potted tangerines only reached 60%. This year, he plans to supply the market with 160 potted ornamental tangerines, 60 of which have been pre-ordered by customers, the remaining are being cared for to create beautiful canopies, and firmly tied to the fruit for long-distance transport.

He said that customers have ordered 60 pots of pink grapefruit, equivalent to 35% of the number of trees. This year's fruit is more beautiful than last year's, the fruit rate is also good because of the care, not focusing on quantity, the important thing is long-term quality. For trees that do not meet the standards for sale, they will be kept for care for next year, the average selling price is from 2 to 5 million VND/pot.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Dung, residing in Vinh Thoi commune, Lai Vung district, said he has prepared 400 pots of pink grapefruit to supply the Tet market, double the number compared to the same period last year.

“This year, I took the initiative to take care of the plants early and watered them at the right time, so the bean plants have a high yield, and each kumquat pot now has 30-80 fruits. Currently, the wholesale price for pre-orders is 2-4 million VND/pot. I am preparing to deliver about 200 pots to customers in Hanoi, equivalent to 50% of the output, which is quite good,” said Mr. Dung.

Lai Vung pink grapefruit is a specialty of Dong Thap, with an area of ​​about 220 hectares and an output of over 4,000 tons/year. The Vinh Thoi Commune Potted Grapefruit Cooperative alone is preparing 700 pots of ornamental grapefruit to sell for Tet At Ty 2025.
