The Kyiv Independent on May 28 quoted information from the Southern Operation Command of the Ukrainian army saying that Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia airport with Kh-59 cruise missiles.
Before the attack, an airstrike alert sounded in Zaporizhzhia province (Ukraine), along with a warning of a possible Russian attack using Kh-59 cruise missiles. The explosion was recorded shortly after, with initial information indicating no casualties.
