There will be a walking street next to My Tho well soon.

Since its implementation, the walking street project next to My Tho well (Dong Thap) has attracted much attention and expectation from local people.

On October 7, a representative of the Project Management Board and Land Fund Development of Region 4 ( Dong Thap ) said that it is expected that phase 1 of the walking street at Tet Mau Than Park will be completed in October 2025.

The first phase of the walking street at Tet Mau Than Park (Dao Thanh Ward, Dong Thap) is under construction with a total investment of more than 11.5 billion VND from the state budget.

The project is invested by the Project Management and Land Fund Development Board of Region 4, started on May 21, 2025, in which the construction cost accounts for more than 9.59 billion VND.

There will be many food stalls along the walking street.

The project consists of 3 main areas. Area 1 is the stage in front of the semicircle; area 2 is the landscape along Tet Mau Than street, divided into 7 spaces: welcome (on Ap Bac street), cuisine (opposite Le Quy Don Primary School), dynamic and developing My Tho, music , cuisine (opposite the swimming pool), relaxation and welcome (on Ly Thuong Kiet street); area 3 is the decoration around the well, creating a lively highlight for the entire area.

Since the project was implemented, many people in My Tho City (old) have not hidden their joy and excitement. Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh (32 years old, living in Dao Thanh Ward) shared: "Until now, the area around the well has been a place for me and my family to take a walk every evening because it is very cool and beautiful. Now, hearing the news that this place is about to become a walking street, I am very happy. I hope that when the walking street is completed, it will be an ideal place for locals and tourists to walk and visit."

According to the representative of the Project Management Board of Area 4, the project is expected to be completed and put into use at the end of October 2025. When completed, the walking street will become a new cultural and entertainment space, a place to display and introduce local culture and history, while creating a space for reading, relaxing, exercising and checking in for people.

In addition, the walking street is also oriented to develop night market and culinary activities, promote the cultural and culinary characteristics of Dong Thap; contribute to creating a dynamic and modern appearance for the urban area after the merger and improve the quality of people's spiritual life.
