On October 7, according to the leader of the My Thuan Project Management Board (investor), the shortcomings and limitations pointed out by the Vietnam Road Administration have been basically overcome after inspecting the investment project to upgrade the Cao Lanh - Lo Te route in Dong Thap province and Can Tho city with a total length of 28.8km.
After the inspection by the Vietnam Road Administration, the My Thuan Project Management Board directed relevant units to urgently overcome the limitations.
The contractor is currently implementing 33 construction projects (14 bridge and road projects, 4 overpass projects, and 15 road projects). The main route has been paved with asphalt concrete, and the focus is on constructing bridges and road projects.
At Lo Te intersection (overpass), main items such as abutments, pillars, Super-T beams, bridge deck, N1 and N2 branch lines of the intersection, sand filling of roadbed, and crushed stone layer are being constructed; the retaining wall behind the abutment has reached 81%.
In October, the asphalt concrete pavement of the overpass and branch lines N1, N2 of the intersection will be completed.
Completed design consultancy, submitted for approval of adjustment and supplementary documents (drainage, lighting, traffic safety...) as required; worked with Road Management Area 4 on traffic organization plan and is reviewing and updating traffic organization plan at locations connecting to Cao Lanh bridge, Lap Vo bridge, and Vam Cong bridge.

The Contractors have taken steps to fix the material gathering; installed additional signs, warning lights, and assigned safety personnel; and fixed the violations of road corridors.
Project progress reached more than 91%, the investor strives to complete the project by the end of October, 2 months ahead of schedule.
The investment project to upgrade the Cao Lanh - Lo Te route in Dong Thap province and Can Tho city has a total length of 28.8km. The total investment is 950 billion VND, with My Thuan Project Management Board as the investor.
Project implementation period: from 2022 to December 2025
The main route basically retains the scale, technical standards, and geometric elements of the previous status, while upgrading the road surface with a layer of asphalt concrete and compensating for the road surface.
Build a system of service roads with minimum scale of rural roads.
Rural roads, design requirements at some sections to reorganize traffic on the route, high-class road surface structure A2, 3-layer asphalt.
Construction of Lo Te intersection ensures safe operation, connection and convenient travel.
