Merging 2 medical colleges into 2 universities

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long agreed to merge Thai Nguyen Medical College under the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province into the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen University.

At the same time, Hue Medical College under the People's Committee of Hue City merged into the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province and the People's Committee of Hue city to direct relevant agencies and units to hand over and receive the personnel, finance, assets, and students of the two colleges to the two universities in accordance with regulations.

The merger and reorganization process must ensure normal operations, legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties, and prevent negativity, loss, and waste of finance and assets.

The Ministry of Education and Training directed Thai Nguyen University and Hue University to guide Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy on training and granting degrees to students studying at the two colleges according to regulations.
