Opta supercomputer predicts the team with the highest chance of winning EURO 2024

The Opta supercomputer simulated the EURO 2024 finals in Germany 10,000 times and predicted that England had the highest chance of winning the championship with 19.9%.

Over the past two decades, England have often come to major tournaments as heavy favorites and this time is no exception with a squad that boasts a promising attack. Any defense at EURO 2024 will have to be wary of England's attacking prowess, which includes Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, and Manchester City star Phil Foden. "According to Opta's predictions, with 19.1%, France are seen as England's biggest rivals. This is also the team that defeated the Three Lions in Qatar and reached the World Cup final two years in a row. Hosts Germany (12.4%) and Spain (9.6%) are also considered strong candidates.

Regarding the Portuguese team, this year's tournament could be the last EURO that Cristiano Ronaldo participates in. CR7 currently holds the record for the most matches (25 matches) and the most goals (14 goals) in EURO tournaments. This will be the 6th consecutive EURO that this superstar has participated in and promises to continue to set new records. With the presence of Ronaldo, Portugal is the only team to reach the knockout round in 7 consecutive EURO tournaments (since 1996).
