Information on social networks said they were students from Thai Nguyen University of Education. During this flood, many of them were isolated, without electricity and lacking food for more than a day.

In particular, according to "accusations" on social networks, the canteen of the University of Education made it difficult for the charity group, not allowing them to distribute relief food, and allowing the canteen to sell rice at 30,000 VND/meal.

"The school cafeteria also does not allow money transfers, only accepting cash, causing difficulties for many students who do not have cash to go hungry. After the flood receded, some students returned home and were blamed for not staying to clean the dormitory," according to information on social networks.

Responding to Dan Tri reporter, the leader of Thai Nguyen University of Education said that there is no such thing as letting students go hungry or causing trouble when they stay at the school.

"Last night and this afternoon, the school gave out free meals to students," said the school leader.

According to the leader of Thai Nguyen University of Education, the charity groups coming here are all coordinated by the school, not the student cafeteria.

"This cafeteria is managed by a contractor, not directly by the school. I think the accusation on social media may be due to personal frustrations.

The school is taking care of post-storm recovery to ensure the best support for students from sanitation to domestic water," said the school leader.

Earlier, on the morning of October 8, social media was flooded with calls for help from Thai Nguyen. Many students said they had to climb onto their roofs, hungry and cold because their dormitory was heavily flooded.

The entire city lost power and had poor phone reception. Many families were worried because they could not contact their children, so many schools that were not flooded sent out notices to provide maximum support to students.
