Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, affirmed that the sector has established many international cooperation relationships to improve the quality of education.

Ms. Nguyen Boi Quynh, Principal of Viet Duc High School, shared that in the context of integration, the school determined to promote foreign language skills for students. The solution starts from innovating active teaching methods of teachers to make students more confident and interested in class.

Even the dry science subjects, when teaching methods and approaches are innovated, students are more enthusiastic about learning. In addition, the school organizes many English speaking and debate competitions and encourages students to participate to improve their knowledge and skills.

Principals of Vietnamese high schools asked many questions about the educational program, subject selection, and career orientation for students in Australia.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Principal of the Institute for Teacher Training and Development, asked school administrators: How will students choose subjects when the school has so many subjects, and if they choose wrongly, if they don't like it anymore, can they choose again?

Ms. Narelle Slivak, Director of International Education, South Australian Government Department of Education, said that students still have to study compulsory subjects including: Math, Science, History, Geography, Civic Education, Physical Education, Foreign Languages, etc.

In addition to the compulsory subjects, there are many other subjects for students to choose from depending on their interests and abilities. Elective subjects in schools are also different so that students have more opportunities to choose. Accordingly, students interested in any field will be carefully advised by the school's Advisory Board before making a decision.

After completing 3 years of the program, students must pass the required test and receive a certificate of completion. Students have chosen subjects that can be flexibly changed, but under the supervision and evaluation of the subject teacher.
