Recently, the Son La Provincial Border Guard in coordination with local authorities has had good and creative ways to mobilize people to voluntarily hand over weapons, explosives, and support tools.

On October 12 and 13 alone, through propaganda and mobilization, Muong Cai Border Guard Station received two homemade guns from a resident of Bua Hin village, Muong Hung commune.
Mr. Thao Ba BLong shared: "Previously, I and some people in the village used guns to protect crops and hunt. Today, the officers came to the village to propagate and explain the risks of using guns, which can cause very high-risk accidents. I found it right and voluntarily surrendered the guns."
Not only at Muong Cai Border Guard Station, on this occasion, at Border Guard Stations under the Border Guard Command of Son La province, there were also many forms of propaganda for people to strictly comply with the law and voluntarily hand over homemade weapons.

Since June, the Border Guard Stations in Son La have been propagandizing and mobilizing people in the villages to voluntarily hand over 10 guns of various types. Thereby, contributing to ensuring security and order, minimizing potential dangers that may occur.
Currently, the Border Guard Stations and the Son La Border Guard Command are continuing to coordinate with relevant units to promote propaganda and replicate good practices and effective models in mobilizing people to hand over weapons, explosives and support tools.
Border Guard Stations have also launched a movement for the entire people to protect national security in each commune and village; strictly handling according to the law the acts of storing, using, buying and selling equipment related to homemade guns.
