The SOS Food project launched an emergency food support campaign in Hanoi , Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, and Son La, promptly providing necessities to people in flood-affected areas who are isolated and lacking food.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khoi, Chairman of the Vietnam Food Bank Network and founder of the SOS Food project, said the campaign was implemented with the coordination of food businesses, supermarket systems, local organizations and Foodbank Vietnam volunteers.

Accordingly, emergency food supply points are set up in isolated or hard-to-reach areas, focusing on distributing support packages including rice, instant noodles, essentials, milk and drinking water. All data on demand and distribution is continuously updated on the SOS Food platform, ensuring accurate, timely and transparent support.
In addition to immediate relief activities, the program also aims to build community food reserves in localities frequently affected by natural disasters to increase response and recovery capacity in the future.

“SOS Food was established not only to provide short-term emergency support but also to form a sustainable support system, helping people in disaster-prone areas access food more safely, quickly and transparently,” said Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khoi.
The Vietnam Food Bank Network calls on domestic and foreign businesses, organizations and individuals to join hands to support the program in kind or cash, contributing to helping people in flood-affected areas stabilize their lives soon.

Launched in 2024, SOS Food is a technology application platform in humanitarian activities, deployed with the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and many businesses and social organizations. The platform operates as an "emergency food map" to quickly connect relief points, philanthropists and people in need of support in situations of natural disasters, storms, floods or food crises.
