The Power of Compassion

In recent days, the story of Mr. Phan Van Thanh, Head of the Security and Order Protection Team of Xuan Ha 1 Hamlet, Thanh Cong Commune, who bravely threw himself into the raging water to save people, has moved many people. He has passed away but left his homeland a shining example, a warm flame of humanity and responsibility.

Authorized by the President , Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To awarded the "Medal of Courage" to the family representative of comrade Phan Van Thanh.

On October 19, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province issued a decision to launch a campaign for all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people to learn from the brave example of Phan Van Thanh. This is a meaningful action, showing respect for the person who sacrificed and arousing in the community the spirit of living beautifully and responsibly.

In modern life, people are sometimes easily caught up in worries and rarely stop to share. Thanh's story makes everyone believe more in goodness. Courage does not need to be great things. It appears in every simple action, it can be a cadre devoted to the people, a teacher patient with students or a citizen willing to help people in trouble... and if that spirit is cultivated in each person, each group, it will become the strength to make positive changes.

The movement launched this time aims at concrete actions, not formalities. Agencies and units are required to concretize learning with practical actions: Work more responsibly, live more humanely, spread good things in daily life. When these values are practiced regularly, the patriotic emulation movement will have more depth, strength and authenticity.

Thai Nguyen is a land of love, where people have become accustomed to hardship but still maintain their kindness. During the fierce war years, many people here were willing to sacrifice for the Fatherland. And today, in the midst of a peaceful life, there are still people like Phan Van Thanh who quietly do good deeds in everyday life, not for fame or reward, but only because of their conscience, humanity and responsibility to their fellow countrymen. That is what makes the concept of "hero" more familiar, so that each of us can reflect on ourselves and live more kindly every day.

Thanh's story will eventually fade away with the flow of time, but the echoes of that action will forever spread. When a person dares to forget himself for others, that example will illuminate people's hearts, reminding us to live more humanely and responsibly towards life.

And when that spirit is nurtured in the hearts of Thai Nguyen people, it will become a silent flame, perhaps small but lasting, strong enough to warm human affection and make life warmer. That is also the time for each of us to join hands to turn compassion into concrete actions, respond to emulation movements, spread good deeds to build an increasingly meaningful, humane and developed Thai Nguyen.
