On February 22, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Thang (Captain of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) said that he had just fined a passenger car driver for violating alcohol concentration on the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway.

Previously, on the evening of February 21, the Working Group of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3 inspected a passenger bus with license plate 29K - 066.xx traveling in the area of ​​Km 188 of Phap Van - Cau Gie Highway (near the toll station through Thanh Tri district, Hanoi ).

Traffic police worked with the offending driver (in black shirt) and temporarily detained the passenger bus.

Through inspection, traffic police discovered that the bus driver, Nguyen Vuong C (born in 1976, residing in Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province), had an alcohol concentration of 0.281 mg/L of breath.

In the report, driver Nguyen Vuong C admitted to drinking alcohol at noon and driving a passenger bus on the Nam Dinh - Hanoi route in the evening.

Pursuant to Decree 168/2024, the Traffic Police Department has issued a fine to driver Nguyen Vuong C for driving a car on the road with alcohol in his breath. For this violation, driver C was fined 19 million VND and had 10 points deducted from his driver's license.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Thang, businesses in the passenger and cargo transport business should recruit drivers with clear backgrounds, who are not addicted to drugs and always conscious of obeying the law and regulations on traffic order and safety.

In particular, transport businesses and individual drivers must strictly comply with regulations on alcohol concentration. Passenger car drivers who violate alcohol concentration are very dangerous, with a high risk of traffic accidents. This is also the main cause of traffic accidents, especially on highways.
