Temporarily handing over materials and equipment to Economic - Defense Group 925

On the afternoon of July 2, the An Giang Provincial Military Command organized a temporary handover of materials and equipment to the Southwestern Sea and Island Economic - Defense Group (codenamed Economic - Defense Group 925), under Military Region 9.

Colonel Vu The Van - Deputy Commander of An Giang Provincial Military Command and Lieutenant Colonel Vu Huy Thuy, Head of Economic - Defense Group 925 chaired the handover conference.

The conference agreed on the minutes of temporary handover of materials, equipment, and assets on land and defense land of the Military Command of Chau Thanh district (old) at the old Military School, An Phuoc hamlet, Binh An commune (An Giang province) between the handing party, An Giang Provincial Military Command, and the handing party, Economic - Defense Group 925.

Economic - Defense Group 925 temporarily manages and uses barracks, defense land, materials, and equipment for the right purposes, safely, effectively, and is ready to hand over the original state to the Military Command of An Giang province to carry out military and defense tasks according to the decision of competent authorities.

Economic - Defense Group 925 was established under Decision 1720/QD-BQP, dated April 24, 2025 of the Ministry of National Defense. The Group has the task of building forces, training for combat readiness, participating in labor and production, coordinating to ensure social security, supporting people to develop marine economic sectors, preventing and fighting natural disasters, searching and rescuing, protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands in the Southwest of the Fatherland.
