An Giang: Introducing tourism, cuisine, OCOP products and connecting trade

In a series of activities to welcome the 1st Congress of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, on the evening of September 27, the Tourism and Cuisine Festival combined with the Trade Promotion Fair, OCOP products - Rach Gia, An Giang 2025 opened in Rach Gia ward, An Giang province.

With art performances, entertainment games, business connections between businesses, surveys of tourist attractions, the event contributes to promoting the image of tourism, culture and people of An Giang to domestic and foreign tourists, opening up a new vision for local socio -economic development; creating a space for entertainment, shopping, connecting businesses and cultural exchanges between domestic and international provinces and cities; affirming An Giang's position as a dynamic development center of the Mekong Delta region. At the same time, the event also promotes investment, trade and tourism promotion activities in the province and responds to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", implementing the OCOP program.

Ms. Quang Xuan Lua, Director of the An Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, emphasized that the festival gathered hundreds of booths of businesses from provinces and cities across the country and An Giang province. In addition to the main point of promoting tourism and cuisine of localities, the festival also has an area to introduce export products, OCOP products, typical products of localities, general commercial products to consumers with a variety of goods, rich in quality. Thereby, creating conditions for businesses to meet, connect, cooperate in business, and expand the consumer market.

The Tourism and Cuisine Festival combined with the Trade Promotion Fair, OCOP products - Rach Gia, An Giang 2025 takes place in 9 days (from September 27 to October 5) at Tran Quang Khai Square, Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province. The festival has a scale of more than 300 booths from 12 provinces and cities such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Vinh Long... with areas and spaces to introduce tourism, promote export products, OCOP products, typical products to promote and introduce local cuisine, general commercial products... to serve people and tourists.

The Tourism and Cuisine Festival combined with the Trade Promotion Fair, OCOP products - Rach Gia, An Giang 2025 is not only a large-scale cultural and commercial event but also an important "push" for the socio-economic development of An Giang province in general and Rach Gia ward in particular. This event contributes to spreading the cultural, tourism and people values ​​of An Giang to domestic and foreign tourists, promoting trade and investment, creating opportunities to connect businesses, expanding the market for OCOP products and exports.

The festival is also an opportunity for the tourism industry to introduce and promote sightseeing tours, spaces to experience local cuisine and culture, contributing to stimulating domestic tourism and increasing revenue for the service industry. Thereby, contributing to raising the position of Rach Gia ward, becoming a prominent destination in the eyes of tourists on the An Giang tourism map.
