At the event on August 18, Bamboo Airways officially operated all domestic flights from terminal T1 to the new terminal T3 Tan Son Nhat, Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh said that the "bottlenecks" had been resolved.
Mr. Thanh frankly acknowledged that the recent turmoil in Bamboo’s leadership mainly came from investors. Each investor has a different way of managing and operating according to their own direction. Over the past two years, the company has encountered many difficulties and problems.
The airline now has a direction and a way to resolve the issues. Once the bottlenecks are resolved, Bamboo Airways CEO believes that capital flow will be cleared, creating a foundation for the airline to develop more sustainably.
According to him, Bamboo will continue to maintain the three core values that passengers expect, including service quality, safety, and on-time performance. Furthermore, the airline's goal is to become a "digital airline".
Previously on August 13, Bamboo announced that Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh became the general director to replace Mr. Luong Hoai Nam, and Mr. Le Thai Sam took the position of chairman of the board of directors to replace Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh, who had just taken office for more than a month.
The first day of operation at T3, only 1 customer went to the wrong place.
On the same day, Bamboo transferred all domestic operations to Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3. According to records, only one passenger went to the wrong terminal in the morning and was promptly assisted. At T3, Bamboo arranged check-in procedures at counters 45-50 (opposite to doors D2, D3), flexibly expanding from counters 43-52 depending on demand. The last-minute ticket counter is located right at door D2 for easy access for passengers.
In particular, from August 18 to 25, the airline applies a free ticket change support policy for passengers whose flights are delayed because they have not updated the terminal change information in time, waiving the price difference and giving priority to switching to the nearest flight on the same itinerary.
For flights with only one flight per day, passengers will be transferred to the next day's flight.
Currently, in addition to Vietnam Airlines , Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3 has Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vietravel Airlines, Vasco operating domestic flights. Vietjet will operate at Terminal T1.
