Vietnamese hospital sets Asian record

DNVN - On September 22, 2025, on its official website, the Asia Record Organization officially announced the Asian Record for a Vietnamese hospital for its achievements in the field of in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Representative of Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City received the Asian Record certificate.

Accordingly, Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has set a record as the first hospital in Asia to deploy a Laboratory-in-Laboratory model, serving gamete manipulation and embryo culture - stages in the in vitro fertilization process. In 2021, the hospital successfully put into operation an ISO 5 embryo culture room integrated into the ISO 6 gamete and embryo manipulation room - a pioneering model in Vietnam and the region - ensuring optimal environmental control. This groundbreaking design separates important processes to protect embryos and gametes from the risk of infection, setting a new standard in reproductive medicine, confirmed on September 10, 2025.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hoang, Director of the Center for Reproductive Support at Tam Anh General Hospital, Hanoi , ISO 5 lab technology and many modern techniques have contributed to improving the quality of embryos and the success rate of IVF cases.

Based on statistics from 2021 to 2024, Tam Anh IVF Center in Ho Chi Minh City has achieved a cumulative pregnancy rate of 80.1% in all treatment cases. In particular, in the group of patients under 28 years old, this rate is up to 86.9%. It is worth noting that even in cases of multiple failures, the cumulative success rate still reaches 71.9%. Even some difficult cases such as women with ovarian failure or men with no sperm can still welcome a healthy child from a single embryo.
